Bolivian Cooking Experience

Friday - we went out witnessing and then after siesta time, we went to a sister's house with a few others  in the La Vinya congregation to make a type of frybread - it's sort of like that but hollow inside and crisp on the outside - it's kind of similar to churros too.  We helped knead the dough, mix and roll out the pastry and watch it cook.  Our friends served us drinks and jelly while we waited.  When it was done (and we had lots) we ate them with this hot chocolate/chai tea drink.  They were very yummy!

It's cool how they blow up!

This was in a Bolivian recipe book that was used - Pacenyo means 'from La Paz' - so the recipe literally is titled 'Teko from La Paz' lol!

We rushed home so we could go to the East congregation's meeting.  We have been stuck trying to decide which congregation to serve in as we want to be in one where there is a greater need.  We have been working along with both congregations out in the ministry and getting to know them.
