Country witnessing

Today we went country witnessing.  We had to catch a Trufi (a taxi that goes in a set circuit - like a link bus) and then a Micro (old bus) to the territory.  We left early but it didn't take that long to get there, maybe 15-20 mins?  We were early for the group which was by what seemed to be a bus stop for cleaning the buses.

These are the buses that we catch to get around Tarija - they are pretty old and ugly.  They seat about 24 people but often they have way more on them - it get's really stuffy on them when they are full!  The drivers have schedules and have to be at certain places at certain times so they drive really crazy!  Often people on scooters or pedestrians will stop by them at the lights and yell at them for cutting them off etc.  But they are cheap and take you quite a long way.

The 'roads' we walked on today to get to the houses - it's a bit rugged and hilly.  It rained yesterday afternoon night so it was a bit muddy in places.  But well worth the effort as everyone we talked to was appreciative and listened.  One man said he didn't have a Bible and he wanted one.  I told him we offer free Bible studies as well and he would like one - it's very easy to witness here!

These tyres gave us a much needed rest after walking for most of the morning!

Just as well it was much cooler today and didn't rain!
