Valle de Concepcion

On Thursday, we went out witnessing with the East Congregation.  We got invited to go along with a few who were going to a small village called Uriondo in Valle Concepcion on Saturday, which is about 30 mins from where we live.  There were 12 of us that went today.  Lot's of people listened and were really interested.

Waiting on the ute for 2 more amigos to come with us
This little one kept smiling at me while Maria was witnessing to his Mum

We saw this meat "delivery car", with a bit of cow that had fallen onto the road.  In the "shop" the cows head was lying on the floor!

We witnessed in the village for a couple of hours.  We got alot of interested ones to go back on.  Afterwards, our friends took us to Casa Vieja (the Old House), a vineyard where we used the tables to eat the snacks we took along with us.  Then we split into two groups and did some wine tasting.  Maria said their wine tastes like it's from the eighties!  It was a really fun day.

After that, we all got back into the ute.  We stopped to take some photos at a spot of the Valley of Concepcion.

Again, back in the ute.  But not long after this, it started raining - so the 6 people (including Amie, Maria and Michelle) on the back got drenched!  They were all laughing though!  We live by this "river" which, up until today - wasn't much of a river because it had hardly any water in it!  But now it has plenty - but it is muddy brown.  Later this afternoon, Maria and I went to do a couple of her calls.  We went to look for one that lives in one of the Barrios - they don't have any street names there so it is really hard to find a house if you get a return visit there.  Anyway, because of the rain, the ground was quite muddy and we reached this point of the road were there was a massive puddle in the middle of the road.  SO we had to dodge it and we were stumbling over these little stones and a few cement bags.  My foot got covered in cement dust from my foot falling into the bag and then in mud as I lost my footing!  It was hard case and we ended up giving up and going back.  We got back on the bus and the few people on the bus were giggling about me!
